About the Doctor
Dr. Everton Edmondson has been practicing medicine in Houston for over 20 years. From humble beginnings as a young Jamaican immigrant living in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Edmondson dreamed of one day becoming a neurologist.
Dr. Edmondson went on to graduate from Amherst College in 1976 with a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience. After college, Dr. Edmondson attended New York University Medical School, graduating with honors in pharmacology in 1980. Dr. Edmondson then entered an internal medicine residency at The University of Connecticut Medical School. In 1982, Dr. Edmondson left Connecticut to practice medicine in Mt. Vernon, New York. Finally, in 1985 Dr. Edmondson moved to Houston to enter a residency in neurology, which he completed in 1988.
Afterward, Dr. Edmondson studied neuro-oncology and pain management at MD Anderson Cancer Center until 1990, when he joined Baylor College of Medicine as an assistant professor full-time until 1992, and then part-time for several more years with MD Anderson, Baylor, and the University of Texas Medical School.
Dr. Edmondson has been enjoying private practice in Houston since 1992, with consultative and admitting privileges at Methodist Hospital.
Dr. Edmondson is a loving father to his two sons, Everton and Ethan, and a devoted husband to his lovely wife, Jean.
